Yes, they can.

Q What’s the best way to have the marble treatment beds heated, please?

As for treatment beds, we recommend to use series resistance cable sections TMOE which are specially designed for Turkish baths (hamam) and other related facilities with the maintaining surface temperature up to 100 degrees.

Depending on the number of treatment beds, we can fit a proper temperature sensor to ensure separate temperature control of several spots.

Q How can we use your heating cables for Finnish saunas?

Since there is only one heater used in saunas where the warm air ascends first, our experts would recommend to use heating cable to warm the floor in the sauna itself as well as in dressing-room and swimming pool areas. And of course it can be used to dry out wet floors!

Q Why using underfloor heating?

Furthermore, underfloor heating systems enable you to reduce your heating costs. The underfloor installation of the heating system provides an enhanced surface of heat emission. The close placement to the floor surface ensures quick and optimum warming-up.

Q How to test the heating mat or sensor?

The resistance of the heating cable and sensor are to be measured with an Ohmmeter, by placing the cable lead wires to the Ohmmeter probes.

Q Can the heating mat be installed in the wall or ceiling?

No, the heating mats have been tested for underfloor heating only.

Q What are the advantages of electrical heating systems compared to warm water heating systems?

Underfloor heating is a comfortable heating source. It provides physical and psychological comfort.

Electric heating systems are only consuming energy when turned on. They are easier to retrofit, install in small rooms and awkward spaces, and can be basically fitted on your own. A qualified electrician is required to wire the system up only.

A warm water underfloor heating system requires more installation depth for the pipes. You will need to call in a professional to install a water pipe. The pipes need to be installed beneath the floor (along with the other recommended floor insulation and screed) as well as connecting the floor heating to a boiler, or solar water heating system. The pipe heating circulation pump is on most of the time and consumes a lot of energy.

Q Are floor warming systems suitable for allergic people?

Yes, sure. This kind of heating system is especially suitable for allergic people. Air movements and turbulences of dust will be reduced, and humidity will go down. All this will help to eliminate dust mites, mould or bacteria.

Water leak control systems

Q Would you please let me know if it is possible to apply your water leak control system to the outdoor swimming pool pump stations? The pool is 120 m long, and the pump stations are placed in the corners of the pool, at a depth of 3 m. The water leak sensors should be arranged under them. The control system is 50 meters far from the pool.

Yes, it is possible. Both wired and wireless systems can be used to control water leaks. The wireless system Neptune ProW+ with radio sensors can operate where additional repeaters are available. The operating distance of the sensors is 50 meters under direct vision. The repeater coverage range makes about 80 m. The placement and number of the repeaters are set by trial.

In case of the wired system we can produce a sensor of any length of the wire.

Q Can I use the Neptune water leak control systems in pump rooms at the hotel facilities? If yes, where should we place sensors?

Our Neptun systems are designed for installation in any premises where rapid actions to stop any water leak are required.

We can send out a questionnaire, and based on the information and room drawings provided our experts will be able to give their recommendations on where and how the sensors and electrically actuated ball valves should be placed.


Q What is the maximum temperature the residential house tap water can be heated to by using self-limiting cable?

When it comes to pipes, our self-limiting cables are designed to operating temperatures maintenance and freeze protection. Basically, the temperature within the range of 10-30 degrees is required. In case of residential houses it is more reasonable to use a tank or tankless water heater to ensure the heating up to 80 degrees, which would be more energy saving in comparison with electrical cable heating.

Q Can the heating conductor be shortened?

No, please never cut or shorten the heating conductor!

Q Can the cold lead be shortened or lengthened?

Yes, it is possible to shorten or lengthen the cold lead to any length required.

Q Is it allowed to cut the carrier material?

Yes, it is allowed to cut the carrier material. However, please make sure that you do not cut the heating cable!

Q What is the installation height of a heating mat?

The installation height of a heating mat varies from 1.8mm to 5.1mm and depends on the heating mat.

Q What is the electrical power consumption of an electric heating mat?

The electrical power consumption is the total power output of the heating mat installed.

Q What is the minimum border distance from the wall for the underfloor heating installation?

The rule of thumb is to leave a 10 cm border along the walls.

Q Shall I choose a heating mat or heating cable?

Heating cable is used especially for complex room layouts. In comparison with a heating mat, the heating cable is not fixed on a mesh and can be adapted to every room layout. This provides a lot of flexibility. Since the unfixed length of the cable lets you vary the overall power output , the heating cable is basically recommended for the main means of heating.

At the same time the heating mat is easier to install and no creed is required. It allows to keep the same floor level.

Q Are electric underfloor heating systems designed to heat a room or just to keep a floor warm

They work for both purposes. Heating cable is recommended for heating a room when heating mats are mainly designed to keep a floor warm.

Q Which thermostat should I choose for which heating mat?

All of our thermostats may be used with any of our heating mats. The choice is a subject to your personal preference and cost.

Q Can a temperature sensor from another supplier be connected to your thermostat?

In depends. In general, any temperature sensor of the resistance at 6.8 kiloOhm matches our thermostats. Otherwise please contact us for a detailed answer.

Q Can the temperature sensor be installed directly in the flooring?

No, the floor temperature sensor should be put inside a plastic corrugated tube. The end of the tube laid on the floor should be sealed with a stopper in order to prevent any concrete mixture or tile adhesive glue penetration during installation works.

Q What should I do to set up the MCS 300 thermostat?
